Northern Beaches ‘Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond’ information

On Friday night I had the honour of speaking at the inaugural Northern Beaches Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond information night at Qi Yoga in Freshwater.  A large crowd of ‘Future Families’ from the Northern Beaches gathered to hear a panel of 8 experts in various fields of natural health share their knowledge.

I shared fundamental concepts for creating an easy an enjoyable experience during pregnancy and an easy birth. It was rewarding, showing the Mums how to reconnect with the part of themselves that is responsible for creating health and balance.  How to take this knowledge and create a strategy in relation to the ‘4 P’s of an easy pregnancy‘.

The night was such a success that we will be running one again, within the year. Future free info nights and workshops will be communicated through the Light Touch facebook page.  Make sure you’ve liked the page to ensure you don’t miss out on future info nights and free movies.

Hypnobirthing Rocks

Tracey Callanan of Hypnobirthing Rocks on the Northern Beaches organised the event and presented information on hypnobirthing.  Telling us how Future Mums can learn to control their mental emotional state during any birthing situation using hypnobirthing skills.  Hypnobirthing has become widespread across the globe and Tracy offers classes at Manly and Fairlight.  Another thing that Tracey presented was the special language babies use during the early stages in life to communicate their needs.

Learning to be a Baby Whisperer

It sounds too good to be true, but all babies actually make the same specific sounds depending on what they need or want.  Once you decode your babies requests you can provide them with exactly what they’re asking for, avoiding a lot of crying and heartache.  This simple communication skill removes so much stress from the first stage of Bub’s life and makes things sooo much easier for Mum.

Here’s a clip of Priscilla Dunstan, who discovered and has researched baby language.  It shows an interview with Oprah summarizing baby language and explaining the basic sounds your baby makes when it is trying to tell you something.  Enjoy!
